Coronavirus / COVID-19

27/04/2020 Update

Like all businesses within the UK and indeed, worldwide, we are closely monitoring the impact that COVID-19 is having on our business, our team, clients, suppliers, and partners.

Whilst we enter another week of Lockdown we are continuing to adapt as a business to be able to deliver services for our clients and to be able to support key and essential workers.

Following some operational changes, and with updates from our suppliers we are pleased to announce that our website is open again! We are now taking orders for parts and accessories online. Please note - extended delivery times will be more than likely for all orders until further notice.

Our sites are all continuing to enforce social distancing, and we are still offering contact free services at our Rugby and Wimborne branches, our Wolston Branch remains closed at this time, however customers from our Wolston branch are urged to contact us as we can accommodate them at our Rugby branch (please call 01788 543 094).

Our teams will continue working with our local communities to offer our support to front line workers. We want to help ensure that key workers’ vehicles stay safely on the road and support where we can if they need help getting from place to place.

If you are NHS or Emergency service staff we will prioritise your needs - you can also visit any of our branches to receive a free 'lights, levels and tyre pressure check' to make sure your car is safe to get you to where you need to be.

If you would like to follow our progress, we will use our social media pages to keep you updated on everything our teams are doing to support their communities.

24/03/2020 Update

Like all businesses within the UK and indeed, worldwide, we are closely monitoring the impact that COVID-19 is having on our business, our team, clients, suppliers, and partners.

We are very much aware and respectful of the Government’s message that all UK citizens and businesses must play their part to protect the most vulnerable in our society and to ensure that the NHS has the ability to care for the increased number of patients that will be affected by the virus in the coming days and weeks, and to be able to continue to provide services for those with other health care needs.

Our workshops will remain open until further notice, we are honouring all existing bookings and taking new bookings. We are ensuring that Social Distancing measures are enforced at all of our branches and we are completing contact-free handovers for all vehicles and parts/accessory orders.

For these reasons, and following guidance given last night, Douglass Motors have made the decision that our showrooms will be closed to customers with immediate effect. You can still continue to shop online, and we are still available on the telephones.

We will also continue to support clients who wish to purchase cars. We will be making Video Walkthroughs available for all sales vehicles. This will be live within the next few days. We will also endeavour to allow you to obtain a part exchange valuation, apply for finance and have your car delivered, all without having to leave your home.

We would like to thank our team for their dedication over the last few weeks as we have been navigating our way through this challenge. They have all been amazing and the Douglass Family are immensely proud of what we have achieved.

Over the coming days, the Douglass team will work together to care for our clients and look after each other’s well-being. This is a situation that we have not had to deal with before; we are entering uncharted territory and will be learning and adapting as this progresses.

Our teams will be working with our local communities to offer our support to front line workers.

Douglass Motors are monitoring the situation on Coronavirus/COVID-19 closely. Our goal is to run 'business as usual', but to also be socially responsible and put sensible measures in place to reduce risk where we can. We are operating in line with official Government guidance on Coronavirus/COVID-19.
Whilst it is 'business as usual' here at Douglass Motors, in line with advice from the NHS and Public Health England, we advise that you do not travel to any of our branches if you have any of the following symptoms - a cough, a high temperature or shortness of breath; AND you have been to or transited through the high risk countries, or been in contact with anyone that has, in the last 14 days.
If the above applies to you, to protect yourself and others please do not travel and call NHS 111 (GB) for expert advice. These measures are being taken in order for us to safeguard everyone's health and well-being during the current public health situation.
