DOUGLASSMOTORS have transformed an Overfinch Defender 90 into a bespoke, one-off 4x4, specially commissioned with a host of exclusive upgrades.
Well known for its work modifying Land Rovers and Range Rovers, this latest effort from the UK-based firm will be more likely to reside on the streets of Chelsea than in a muddy field.
That’s not to say that this Defender isn’t impressive or capable. Our client requested our Stage 4 Performance upgrade, inlcuding a hybrid turbo, performance intercooler, griffin exhaust system and engine ECU re-map. To ensure the ride was still comfortable but responsive Old Man Emu shocks and steering damper were fitted along with upgraded polybush bushes.
The Stornoway Grey paint is complemented with a bespoke black and orange leather interior and the Recaro sport seats should be able to keep occupants stable through quickly taken corners or unlikely off-road forays. In typical Overfinch style, there’s plenty of chrome dotted around the interior.
Exterior touches like the 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED upgrade, Kahn Wide Track body kit and Zunsport front grille should ensure this Defender won’t get mistaken for a normal version.
This Defender has also had a full ICE system upgrade, featuring bespoke speaker mounts, a cubby box mounted sub and a 7" Alpine Head Unit.
While this Defender 90 remains a one-off, Douglass Motors are always happy to complete bespoke projects on any scale for their customers.
